Google Maps show our lane being called ‘Ellesmere Lane’ (see map below), but this seems to be a ‘Google-ism’ – the lane is un-signed and local residents are not aware that Google has named it ‘Ellesmere Lane’.
If you ask locals for directions, please make sure that you ask for Birch Hill, not Birch Hall – both are farmhouses but on opposite sides of Ellesmere. Our drive-way is more-or-less opposite a better-known farm called ‘Seven Sisters’ – many locals will have heard of ‘Seven Sisters’ (we just mention this in case you need to ask for directions – please note that Seven Sisters does not have a sign showing the farm name). On most SatNav systems, our postcode is centred on Seven Sisters.

We are 1 mile NORTH of Ellesmere – the nearest main road is the A528.
