Availability/ Booking

• What is the availability?

  • Dee Bank is generally available from March to November each year, we keep the availability on this website up to date.  Please call or e-mail if you would like to check availability.

• Can I book a short break?

  • Sorry, but we are not able to offer short breaks 

• Can we stay start our week on a day other than Saturday?

  • We only accept bookings from Saturday 3pm to Saturday 10am

• Can we arrive before 3pm?

  • As you will appreciate we need time to prepare the cottage for your arrival. We may be able to accommodate earlier arrivals by prior arrangement

• Can we leave after 10am?

  • As above, we need time to prepare the cottage for guests arriving, so we ask you to vacate by 10am. 

• Is Dee Bank available over the Christmas / New Year period?

  • At present we have decided not to make Dee Bank available after November

• Can we rent the cottage for an extended period?

  • We can only take bookings for 3 consecutive weeks or less.

• Can we bring pets

  • We do accept a maximum of 2 pets, they must be kept under control at all times and must not be left alone in the property.

• Can I book now for 2008?

  • Yes - Dee Bank will be available from March to November each year, we start taking bookings from January each year.

• Where do I send the booking form to?

  • When you contact us to reserve your chosen week, we will give you details of how to book.  Please don't post the booking to Dee Bank Cottage, as we may not receive it. 

Accommodation / facilities

• Can the cottage accommodate more than 4 people (even if small children or babies)?

  • The cottage is equipped for just 4 people.  It is a compact property, which cannot accommodate additional guests (even small children).  If you require larger accommodation we can provide details of other properties in the village

• Is this a no smoking property?

  • Yes, for the safety and comfort of all our visitors

• Is there separate access to each bedroom?

  • No, the stairs lead directly into the main bedroom, which leads into the smaller bedroom, and off this is the shower/toilet room.

• Is satellite TV available?

  • No, the TV receives just the main UK terrestrial channels. 

• Are there laundry facilities at Dee Bank?

  • Sorry, there aren't.

• What activities are there in the area?

• Is fishing available?

  • Fishing at Dee Bank is available at no additional cost, but you will need to bring your own fishing tackle, and your own rod license

• What facilities are available in the village?

  • There is a pub - The Grouse, which provides food

  • Nearest shops are in Corwen and Glyndyfrdwy

• Can we canoe on the river?

  • No, we ask visitors not to canoe on the river, as this is for fishing only.

• Can we reach Carrog by public transport?

  • The nearest mainline station is Ruabon, and bus services run along the A5
