Booking Terms and Conditions

Birch Hill is only open to members of the Caravan Club.  Dogs are welcome, but we have a limit of 2 dogs per caravan or motorhome.  We will consider bookings all year round if the ground is dry, but take pride in the well-kept nature of the caravan site and do not wish to churn the grass into a mud-bath.  Please ring to check ground conditions during Winter months. 

Price

Please pay on arrival, our fee includes electrical hook up:

•  £12 per caravan or motorhome per night

Deposits

In the following circumstances, a £20 per caravan non-refundable deposit is required when booking.  Please make cheques payable to J Kelly :

•  Bank Holidays - as explained below, our minimum stay for Bank Holidays is 7 nights.
•  Bookings for more than one caravan.
•  Holidays for more than 7 nights.
•  Bookings more than 1 month in advance.

Arrival and Departure

So that we keep within the '5 Caravan' rule during busy periods, please arrive after 12 noon on your first day and depart before 12 noon at the end of your holiday.
During quiet periods, we can be more flexible on timings: we cannot predict future bookings, so please ask on the day if you wish to arrive earlier or leave later.

Caravan Site Facilities and Maintenance

There are 2 water points and 2 waste disposal points on the site.

We have ten 16 Amp electric points (rest assured that we stick rigorously to the 5-caravan rule, but the extra hook-ups allow pitches to be rested and the grass to recover).

Grass is normally cut regularly during the growing season.  If you are staying for a long holiday, we ask that you move your caravan every 8 or 9 days so that sunshine can keep the grass green and so that we can mow the site.

Bank Holidays 

As a Certificated Location, Birch Hill only accepts 5 caravans at a time.  Normally, visitors may stay for as little as one night, but our site is so popular at Bank Holidays, that we only take advance bookings from people planning to 'stay for or pay for' at least 7 nights here over a Bank Holiday period. 

If there are still empty places by the Wednesday before a Bank Holiday, we will accept short-notice bookings for shorter periods.
